Questions

Answers to most things.

Practical questions get straight answers. One question does not, and never will.

The product

What is actually in Original?

We will not say. There is a cola base underneath it and a considerable amount that is not cola. That is the complete disclosure, and it is not going to change. Every other soda we make is named plainly — the silence only means something if it happens once.

Is that not just a marketing gimmick?

It is a formulation decision before it is a marketing one. A flavour you can name in three words has a ceiling: you decide whether you want it on the first sip and nothing changes your mind afterwards. Original is built to resist that. Withholding the description only works because the liquid earns it.

Will you ever reveal it?

No.

Is DR. KRATOS sugar free?

Yes. Every can in the Core range contains no sugar. Each 330 ml can carries 36 kcal, almost all of which comes from the fibre.

What sweeteners do you use?

Steviol glycosides and sucralose. Because of that, the pack carries the statement “with sweeteners” alongside the legal product name, as EU law requires.

What is the fibre?

Chicory root inulin, at 3 g per 100 ml — 9.9 g in a 330 ml can. It gives the drink body, which a sugar-free soda otherwise lacks. That is why it is in the formulation.

Why is the fibre not on the front of the can?

Because DR. KRATOS is a soda. The moment a functional benefit becomes the reason to buy, you are competing in the wellness aisle. We would rather you bought it for the taste and found the fibre later.

Is it a prebiotic soda?

The fibre we use is a prebiotic fibre. We describe what is in the can rather than what it does, and we make no health claims anywhere on the pack or on this site.

Does it contain probiotics or live cultures?

No. The range is built on fibre, not live bacteria.

Does it contain caffeine?

Original contains caffeine, below 15 mg per 100 ml — under the EU threshold, so no high-caffeine warning is required. Passion Mojito and Ginger contain none.

Is it an energy drink?

No. There is no taurine in any DR. KRATOS product, and caffeine is present only in Original and only at a low level. This is a soda.

Is it suitable for vegans?

Yes. No animal-derived ingredients are used in the Core range.

Does it contain gluten?

No gluten-containing ingredients are used. Full allergen information is printed on every can and always takes precedence over this page.

Is it halal?

Halal certification is being pursued for the range, in line with the wider KRATOS portfolio. Certification status by market will be published here once confirmed.

How many calories?

36 kcal per 330 ml can. 11 kcal per 100 ml.

Where can I see the full ingredients?

On each product page — Original, Passion Mojito and Ginger — with the full nutrition table. The pack is always the definitive source.

Where is it made?

Spain.

Buying and availability

Where can I buy it?

We are opening market by market rather than everywhere at once. Current and upcoming markets are listed on the where to buy page.

Do you sell direct online?

No. DR. KRATOS is sold through retail and distribution partners only. We do not operate an online shop and we do not ship to consumers.

When will it reach my country?

Join the mailing list and we will tell you the week it lands. If nobody is bringing it in yet, the fastest route is usually a local retailer or distributor asking us — point them at the trade page.

What does it cost?

Retail pricing is set by each market and each retailer, so it varies. Trade pricing is available to distributors on request.

Can I get samples?

Trade enquiries only, through trade@drkratos.com. We do not send samples to consumers.

What size are the cans?

330 ml tall slim aluminium, sold in cases of 24.

Serving and storage

How should it be served?

Cold, straight from the can or over ice. Ginger in particular is better with ice than without.

Does it work as a mixer?

Ginger, yes — it was built with that in mind. Original is unusual in a glass with spirits, which some people like a great deal and others do not.

How long does it keep?

12 months unopened at ambient temperature. Once opened, drink it the same day and keep it refrigerated.

Does it need to be refrigerated before opening?

No. It is shelf-stable ambient. Chill before serving.

The Reserve

What is The Reserve?

Numbered limited editions, produced once and never repeated. It is where the difficult ideas go — flavours too strange to sit in a permanent range.

How do I know when one is released?

The mailing list, and nowhere else. We do not pre-announce them.

Will sold-out editions come back?

No. That is the point of the format.

How large is a Reserve run?

It varies by edition and is decided per release. They are deliberately small.

The brand

Who is the figure on the can?

The reason the formula was never written down. He appears on every can in profile, engraved, always facing the same direction. He is not a mascot and he is not a Greek god.

Why “DR.”?

It is a title, not a profession. There is no doctor involved, no medical claim intended and no health benefit implied by the name.

Is DR. KRATOS related to KRATOS?

Yes. DR. KRATOS is part of the KRATOS beverage family, licensed through KRATOS & Co., Lisbon. KRATOS sells on function — energy, hydration, electrolytes. DR. KRATOS sells on taste. Different jobs, one family.

Why is every can engraved?

One technique runs through the whole range: the figure, the botanicals and everything that follows are cut in identical line work at identical weight. It is the slowest way to build a range and the only way one of twenty products still looks deliberate.

Will there be more flavours?

Yes. The Core stays at three permanent products; everything else arrives through The Reserve.

Trade and distribution

How do I become a distributor?

Start with the trade page or write to trade@drkratos.com. Tell us the territory you cover and the channels you sell into, and we will come back with pricing and a launch plan.

What is the case configuration?

24 × 330 ml.

Do you offer exclusivity?

It depends on the territory and the commitment. It is discussed case by case and only ever set out in a signed agreement.

What documentation do you provide?

Lab-verified ingredient declarations, full nutrition data and market-specific labelling including deposit and recycling marks, all prepared before first shipment.

Can labelling be adapted for my market?

Yes. Artwork is built so that market-specific elements can be changed without redrawing the pack.

Do you support launches with marketing?

Yes — localised creative, brand assets and trade collateral, with regional social accounts maintained centrally by us.

Packaging and sustainability

Is the can recyclable?

Aluminium is infinitely recyclable and is one of the most widely recovered packaging materials in the world. Please recycle it.

Do you participate in deposit return schemes?

Yes, where a market operates one. Deposit and recycling marks are applied per territory.

Why cans rather than bottles?

Aluminium chills faster, protects the liquid from light, weighs less to ship and is recycled at a far higher rate than plastic.
